3/22/2013 – Day two of gigs – Friday night- and it’s the joy of 4 more Bands this weekend. This time it was at a venue I’d never visited before, but they have local music on Friday nights under a program called “Freak Out Dublin” . Gigs are in the downstairs pub area, which has a small but well set up stage. The basement is long and narrow – with some cool lighting around the bar and some fabulous white couched areas to chat.
The third band up was The Confusion. Again, a fairly young band, but they have lots of promise. They too are made up of 5 members -Lewis Kenny (Vocals), David Bellew (Lead Guitar), Michael Treacy (Rhythm Guitar), Mark Lynch (Drums), Dean Glennon (Bass). They have a sound kind of like something out of the 1960’s but are quite enjoyable. The lead singer has a good voice, and the group grooves well together – which is why they’ve made it to at least the semi-finals of a local band competition.
You can checkout their facebook site here – http://www.facebook.com/TheConfusion?fref=ts – note that they do have a link to reverb nation with some sample tracks.
As always, more photos can be found on my flickr site – with a collection of pictures from the evening, here.
