3.28.2013 – The Thursday before Good Friday, here in Ireland. That night I went to Fibber Magees (aka ‘old’ Fibbers) on Parnell St here in Dublin, Ireland to watch an Evening of Rock & Roll bands, with the final band being a Rory Gallagher Tribute. It was a fun evening – with 3 Euro drinks, a good crowd (Friday being a day off for many, despite the ban on alcohol hitting at Midnight) and lots of great music.
The last band of the night was Deuce, a Rory Gallagher tribute. Since last I saw them, they’ve gotten some positive reviews, and the number of gigs here in Ireland has increased. They’re working on their website, and have finally added a Facebook page. Rumor has it that they may even be playing a festival or two sometime this year. I’d say they’ve quite exploded onto the Dublin Music scene. Tonight’s gig was much the same as their first gig over at Captain America’s Live, only they seem to have worked out some of the little kinks in their stage performance since the first gig. I think I like these guys more with each performance, and am looking forward to watching them continue to develop as time goes on.
