Summer Party 2012

Last weekend was the company’s summer party. The theme was Full Moon Party, and it was held at the Radisson Blue Hotel here in Dublin. Luckily, the weather was perfect – despite not being overly warm, the day was in the 70’s F, which meant for Ireland, it did feel like summer. It gave us an opportunity to get our summer clothes out, don some black light paint / makeup, eat some grilled meat and salads, and dance to the DJ. (I racked up 20,000 steps for the Everest Challenge!)

Here’s a few photos from the event which were taken by me and some by Colin and a few by others. Thanks to them for sharing, and to the company for the fab party!

Everest – Part 4 – Base Camp!

base camp it is.

I’m 8 days into the Everest Challenge and I’ve reached the figurative base camp!

Everest: Day 8: 102,148 Steps

Total steps: 102,148 Steps – Woo Hoo!

This thanks in large part to the company summer party and LOTS of dancing! (Hey, steps walking and steps dancing, are still steps, right?!?)

Also found out that there are some 700 employees who have signed up are challenged to walk approximately 10,000 steps a day in 40 days – the equivalent of walking up Mount Everest – divided into a little over 87 teams. My team of 6 is currently hovering at #27!

*Pay no attention to the blue line. He’s a marathon runner. How the Hell do I compete with that?!?
