Casa Mia

After the movers came and picked everything up, Kate and I spent a day cleaning the old apartment and getting everything ready for the painters to come in. As a reward for all of our hard work – I went to my favorite local Italian restaurant in Teltow for the last time – Casa Mia. We had a great meal.

After that, I was so full, and realized that I’m gonna miss their homemade pasta and the best Tiramisu ever!

Lush!

Lush!

What do you get someone who’s having a bad day? Lush!

Along with all natural handmade organic cosmetics, Lush also makes the ultimate best bubble bars, bath fizzies, and massage bars. In the picture above, there’s Herbalism face wash, 3 bubble bars (blue skies, pot o’gold, and another I can’t remember the name of), “peace out” soap, karma solid perfume, and a piece of a massage bar.

As a gift, it all fit within the ‘pillar of fizz’ recycled pot, and makes for one happy camper.

Thai Goddess Parties

Thai godess parties

One of the things I’ve apparently missed living in Teltow was the weekend craziness that is living in the big city. Not far from where I’m staying, there’s a Thai restaurant that I have to walk past with a big beautiful goddess statue out front. Normally, she is just a statue, and occasionally she is holding a plant. Often, I wonder what kind of stories she could tell – and today is no different.

Why? Well, when I came past her this morning, I determined she must have been to a really good party last night. Around her neck was a beautiful yellow plastic lei with several “airline size” bottles (empty) of alcohol that had been “twist-tied” to the lei. I chuckled a bit and had to take a picture to share.

Someone had a really good night.

Party on, Goddess, Party on!
