Thai Goddess Parties

One of the things I’ve apparently missed living in Teltow was the weekend craziness that is living in the big city. Not far from where I’m staying, there’s a Thai restaurant that I have to walk past with a big beautiful goddess statue out front. Normally, she is just a statue, and occasionally she is holding a plant. Often, I wonder what kind of stories she could tell – and today is no different.
Why? Well, when I came past her this morning, I determined she must have been to a really good party last night. Around her neck was a beautiful yellow plastic lei with several “airline size” bottles (empty) of alcohol that had been “twist-tied” to the lei. I chuckled a bit and had to take a picture to share.

Miss-Chocoholic
They switched the muffin vendor at work, so today, for my afternoon treat – I decided to try them. This one is called the “miss chocoholic” and it features chocolate cake with 3 kinds of chocolate chips (milk, dark and white), and a gooey chocolatey pudding in the middle.
Now, my initial thought was “pure heaven” but I have to admit that by the end of the muffin, I was feeling rather ill because it was just too sweet. Thank god for the unsweetened coffee – because without it I’m sure I would have been ill.
